Official ruleThe Hot Hot feature: doubles and triple sevens
At random, on any spin - base game or free games - the Hot Hot feature can transform symbols. Per the rules panel, Wild, BAR, plum, orange and watermelon can turn into their double tiles and count as 2 symbols, and each seven can turn into a 777 that counts as 3. This is what enables the long combinations in the paytable ladders.
The upgrade is random and carries no promise: an upgraded position still has to complete a paying line.

One seven
Counts as threeOfficial ruleFree games: six, or twelve
The official trigger: because Wilds never land on reel 3, three or more Wilds arranged from the leftmost reels (left to right) or from the rightmost (right to left) award 6 free games; if the qualifying arrangement happens from both directions on the same spin, the award is 12 free games. Free games play at the bet that triggered them and cannot be retriggered.
Observed in our play Eleven natural triggers in 1,000 recorded rounds - and all eleven awarded 6 free games. We never saw the 12-game award, so the “12” above is only the provider's written rule, not something we can describe from evidence. Every observed feature played all of its awarded games with no extra charge to the balance.

Observed in our playCase study: Development case A
A separate development-corpus example, separate from the downloadable CSV and excluded from the audited 1,000-round statistics. One complete, naturally triggered feature - the trigger spin and all six free games, exactly as the balances moved. One example, not a promise: the eleven features in our record paid anywhere from small change to 1,605 credits; the full ledger is in the game lab.
- Paid base spin−7.50
Stake debited. Three or more Wilds line up - the free-games rule triggers. No base line win on this spin.
Balance: 2,067.50 → 2,060.00 - Trigger awarded6 free games
The game credits nothing yet; it records that six free games are owed. Balance unchanged.
Balance: 2,060.00 - Free game 10
No win.
Balance: 2,060.00 - Free game 20
No win.
Balance: 2,060.00 - Free game 3+7.50
Watermelon wins - and the five winning cells lock in place for the rest of the feature.
Balance: 2,060.00 → 2,067.50 - Free game 4+95.00
The locked cells re-pay their three lines (37.50 + 37.50 + 20.00) on top of any new wins.
Balance: 2,067.50 → 2,162.50 - Free game 5+95.00
The same three locked lines pay again.
Balance: 2,162.50 → 2,257.50 - Free game 6 (“Last Free Game!”)+95.00
Third repeat of the locked lines. The feature ends; locks clear and play returns to the base game.
Balance: 2,257.50 → 2,352.50
Feature total 292.50 = 39× the 7.50 stake. Trigger spin itself won nothing; every free game carried its own win straight onto the balance, and no spin inside the feature debited anything.

Official ruleLocked symbols - and what they did in development case A
Official rule: winning symbols lock for the remaining free games (excluding the triggering spin), locked symbols can be doubled or tripled, and at most 14 positions can lock.
Observed in our play Five watermelon cells locked: the top of reels 1 and 2, and all three rows of reel 3 (5 of the 15 visible positions). Those cells complete the watermelon lines 1, 4 and 12, paying 37.50 + 37.50 + 20.00 = 95.00 per spin, for the three remaining free games. Locked cells are drawn with a sliced-watermelon variant art and a glow, then cleared when the feature settles.
In our 1,000-round sample, free games produced 60.6% of the total returned credits. That share describes our recorded results, not the contribution in every session. The detail and charts are in the game lab.
Observed in our playHow a feature settles
Each free game's win was credited to the balance immediately - the balance steps in the timeline above match every recorded event exactly, with no paid debit inside the feature. The final free game returns play to the base game and clears the locks.
One number trap worth knowing: The biggest feature in our 1,000-round record paid 1,605 credits - you will see this quoted as 214× the stake, but that counts the free games alone. The full round (our round 819) also included an 85-credit base win on the triggering spin, returning 1,690 in total - 225.33× the stake. Feature payout and full-round payout are different numbers; we keep them separate everywhere on this site.
Hot Hot Fruit jackpot and Jackpot Race
A large game payout, the provider’s maximum multiplier and a separate jackpot promotion are different things. Our recorded demo results describe game-round payouts; they do not establish eligibility for an operator jackpot.
Habanero lists Jackpot Race among its products, but that label does not confirm a current campaign for your account or game version. We have not verified a Hot Hot Fruit Jackpot Race timetable, prize pool or entry terms for the operators in this guide.
What time does Jackpot Race run?
Check the operator’s current promotion page for its dates, time zone, eligible games and entry conditions. A campaign timetable is not a “winning time” for the slot. We do not publish an unverified schedule or describe a promotion as an enabled game mechanic.
What we have not verified
Habanero's site also displays labels for products such as Jackpot Race, SuperBet and Buy Feature. A label on the provider website is not proof an option is enabled in this title or at your operator - check the operator's current game rules and promotion terms. We have not verified a current Jackpot Race schedule, bonus-buy option or tournament entitlement for any listing in this guide.
We also cannot show you the 12-free-game award, a retrigger or repeated locks within one feature: none occurred in our recorded play, and we do not stage or replay outcomes to fill gaps.
